Bangladesh, known for producing hits like Lil Wayne’s “A Milli” and Nicki Minaj’s “Did It On’em,” recently had an unfavorable thing or two to say about fellow producer Swizz Beatz. While attending a recent conference in NYC, Desh explained that he prides himself on constantly finding ways to reinvent his brand and when it comes to Swizz he believes that his colleague is severely lacking in that area.

While attending the All American Music Conference at Webster Hall this past Saturday (August 4), Bangladesh told XXL that the secret to his success is always finding routes to reinvention. He said he believes this is what sets him apart from most producers in game, especially Swizz Beatz.

“I don’t think Swizz is relevant,” Bangladesh told XXL. “I’m keeping it 100. I think there’s a difference between relevance and musical relevance,” he stated. “You married a lady that’s poppin’ [Alicia Keys], you know it’ll give you a lot of relevance, but you gotta make hits. Ain’t no hits. Are you relevant for the craft you’re doing or the life you live as far as the decisions you make?”

Many people may beg to differ, however, as Swizz Beatz is having quite an eventful summer. After appearing at the 2012 ESPN ESPYs with Nas (and producing his Life is Good cut “Summer on Smash”) to producing “Throw It Away” off Slaughterhouse’s Welcome to: Our House LP and also nabbing deal with Reebok to feature in upcoming campaigns, Swizz’s situation actually doesn’t seem so bad at all.
